2010 Yorkshire Rural Awards :- Farm Business Award - Highly Commended
2017 Bay Living Awards:- Winner Best Cafe/Tearoom

Run by Elaine Knowles, this licenced farmhouse tea room, is situated in the heart of rural North Yorkshire. Whether you travel by car, cycle or walk to Feizor on one of the many footpaths that meet there, Elaine's is a must to visit for excellent home made food at reasonable prices. In short just excellent value for money.

Dad's first visit was in February 2009, on a walk with Uncle Bob, when there was just one room inside for customers. Since then Dad and Uncle Brian have been many times, seeing the business grow dramatically, including Elaine and family having to move their living room upstairs to make way for further seating for customers. There is also an extensive area with seats for those who wish to sit outside.

Now busy every day, there is usually a table available (it is however advisable to book in advance at weekends and Bank Holidays), and you are always guaranteed a friendly welcome. Like Dad and Uncle Brian, many other customers come again and again. What better recommendation can there be. The tearooms are open daily from 09.30am to 4.30-5pm. Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day & 27th December. Last orders for hot food 3pm (Monday to Saturday) 3.30pm (Sunday).

A wide range of excellent food is on offer, all home made, with the meat coming from their own farm. Whatever your taste, you are sure to find something to your liking.

The menu includes -

GETTING THERE

Travelling towards Settle on the A65, where the road swings sharp right, take the narrow lane straight ahead, signed Feizor 3/4mile. At the small triangle go left along the road marked cul-de-sac, into Feizor. Home Barn is in the centre of the hamlet on the left.

From Settle, cross the river into Giggleswick and climb up the quiet road, until at the top of the hill a narrow road signed Feizor goes off right. This leads to the triangle. Here turn right on the road marked cul-de-sac.

NOT TO BE MISSED IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA

Oh, and why not take the opportunity of seeing the donkeys called Brian and Gerry. They are usually in the field near the overflow parking area. Amongst other things, we understand that they have a liking for polo mints, which are on sale in the tearooms.
