Whilst we love nothing better than to be out on the hills and in the countryside, we understand that Dad's number one priority is looking after our dear Uncle Brian. Sadly for him late in 2018, he developed an ulcer on his foot that resulted in stays in hospital for operations. Thus walks were not possible, and it was late March before Dad was able to take us out. Even then Uncle Brian's foot was not fully healed, so we can only be patient. As can be seen it was September before Dad was able to take us out regularly again. But this was in the very saddest of circumstances. For on the 3rd September, our dear Uncle Brian collapsed suddenly and died. We and all the hug were heartbroken, but none more than Dad who had lost his dear friend of nearly 50 years. It was very hard for Dad going forward, but he told us that all the wonderful memories live on forever. A truly remarkable friendship, and he felt so blessed to have Uncle Brian as his friend and soul mate. He will live on forever in our hearts.
